The Virtual Conference on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in Schools enables the global sharing of new ideas and 'lessons learned', and connects people working on MHM in schools in a wide range of countries.

The conference focuses on the 'MHM in Ten' five priorities identified for transforming MHM in schools by 2024.

What you need to know:

  • The virtual conference was held on 21 May 2020

  • This year’s theme was Innovation in MHM: Putting Girls at the Center.

  • What’s new? You still have a chance to participate in the pre-conference online discussion here

  • Though the conference will be held in English, we are excited to offer captions in both English and French.

The 8th Annual Virtual Conference on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in Schools provides an opportunity to share the latest research and programming from around the world. The virtual conference is expected to bring together online over 1,000 participants from around the world.

This year’s theme, Innovation in MHM: Putting Girls at the Center, aims to highlight national examples of programs that found new ways to identify and address barriers to safe and dignified MHM for girls in schools. Apart from innovations in products, services and facilities, this also includes novel, inclusive ways to end menstrual stigma and empower girls with knowledge and skills to manage their menstruation.
